Who I Am
I am a proud daughter of Mexican immigrants who laid down roots for our family in Southern California. I am also a wife, a sister, a very proud tia, a friend, and a caretaker to a Boston Terrier—who tends to run the household.
I enjoy trying new restaurants, supporting local talent including visual art, music and dance along with the open spaces at Balboa Park and Del Mar dog beach.
Running is one of the ways in which I clear my mind and connect with my body. When I’m not outside, I am most likely either reading or hooked into a short series featuring a whole lot of character development and growth.
“Sol & Ser”
In thinking of a name for my therapy practice, I wanted to capture two main things: culture and growth.
Being solar powered myself—meaning I go up with the sun and down with the moon—I enjoyed the play on words of Sol (sun in Spanish) and also, well, soul. You know… the thing that brings us life.
Ser (Spanish for ‘being’) came to be while brainstorming words that captured the human experience of existing and having the privilege to grow. Thus, Sol & Ser was born.
Bienvenidos a todos, I’m glad you’re here.
I believe that everyone has the ability to see their worth, their value and lean into that goodness.
